That Dirty Bucket Feeling (Ninja Wisdom)

Ninja, my sister has this ability to look at a photo and know before me if I will end up in a relationship with the guy. She has done this with a few of my past boyfriends/lovers. Is she psychic or just taking that 50/50 guess?

So I thought let's really test her skills.
I sent her an email simply asking what she thought of the attached photo. Her reply was this " I don't know who he is but he gives me a dirty bucket feeling"

A dirty bucket feeling.

I was laughing so hard I feel off the bed onto the floor and now have a nice bruise on my knee.
My sister not knowing whom it was in the photo is only slightly disappointing but understandable. (she only reads the blog posts that have her in it) Which is why I used that photo and not a photo of some goofball working down the street at Starbucks.

If you have been following my blog the last few months you know where this is heading, and if not you need to run back and read some of my posts.

So she could not see past the guy's lack of fashion.

A dirty bucket feeling

Sorry, still laughing at that one. But this brings up a conversation I had with another member of my social circle who said "You know instead of bitching about things, why don't you suggest something instead for once?"
Okay I will.
I suggest that TNA put Chris Sabin in a Hair vs Hair match with ... one of the guys with really long hair/beard. Yeah, that sounds good. (everyone else on the show has good hair.)

And you're all wondering if Ninja has psychic powers or just really good at guessing? I still am too, like I said she just could not get past the dirty bucket feeling.

My Thoughts on TNA Impact for April 23 2009

I realize I am days late with this weeks thoughts but iTunes Canada did not have it available until late last night.

The Team 3D Tag Team Invitational is a fabulous idea. We get to see some of the best tag teams in the business over the course of the next few weeks. I have always been a fan of tag team wrestling.
Little sad that right off the bat Lethal Consequences were knocked out, but Beer Money Inc. are a strong team to behold. The second round having No Limit go against Eric Young and his new partner Outlaw Holliday (wrestler formerly known as Murdock) with Young/Holliday advancing. This is shaping up to be a great set of matches.

Following Mick Foley around town with the belt was I have to say funny. Don't want to see that drag on for long but it was a nice change up in programming.
The feud that has begun between Foley and Jeff Jarrett is a nice touch. This I want to see play out for a while. (not too long. Maybe a month or two but not longer then that)

Can it be? Are we finally getting rid of the MainEventMafia? Trouble between Nash and Booker T leads my heart a flutter thinking we might.

Bobby Lashley joining the show. Yeah don't care not a fan.

I recently had the chance to chat with indie wrestler Cole Cash (currently one half of the tag team Bastard Sons of Rock & Roll with Bryan Cross) and here's what I learned.

My Thoughts on TNA Impact for April 16 2009

I thought the ventriloquist act at the beginning of the show was an odd way to start off.... oh wait, that wasn't a ventriloquist and his dummy, that was A.J. Styles saying Jeff Jarrett's lines at the same time Jarrett was saying them so that he knew when his cue was. A.J. when the camera man is in the ring with you they're there to do close ups, keep your mouth closed when you are not speaking otherwise you look foolish.

Speaking of close ups, would the make-up people please go back to beauty school and learn that just because you have the bottle of self tanner and the bucket of blush you don't need to use them both all at once. These are men are they not? Let them look like men and not wax figures.

Bringing the Fallen Angel back was not a shock. Good to see him back, as himself, and on the side of the TNA Front Line. This should be for interesting matches in the X-Division in the coming months. It just seems to me that the X-Division has gotten put on the back burner lately and not up in the spotlight it should be.

I thought the Mick Foley /Cactus Jack interview was well lame.

It was nice to see Chris Sabin in a singles match again. But was it just me or did he look a little rusty in that regard? Normally the only bad thing I have to say about him is his hair, but he seemed off his game a bit. Come to think of it, when was the last time we saw Sabin in a singles match? (if my memory is right wasn't it back in the beginning of the X-Division tournement in December ) And that brings me to my favourite topic of late, his hair. Dude, you're not listening to me when I say your hair is just not a good style (but then again if you did listen to me and cut the hair/shaved your beard I would have nothing to bitch about when it comes to you. Cause otherwise you are kinda on the perfect side)

My Thoughts on TNA Impact for April 9 2009

Everyone knows that I think Alex Shelley is the sexiest man alive. (yes sexier then Johnny Depp)
To hear Mick Foley get up and say he wanted to add a few extra stipulations to the handicap match he was to have against the MotorCityMachine Guns! and started talking about the hair dos I thought maybe Chris Sabin would get a shave. But that was not the case. It was to be a First Blood match. I cringed. I have no idea why the general audience feels the need to demand of their favourite wrestlers such risky matches? (I have gone on record before stating my dislike for TLC matches, Street Fights etc) It was great to see the Guns! get the amount of airtime they did for this show, and even better that they had the main event. But please stop putting them in hardcore style matches.

The Knight of Cups

So I had a tarot reading done the other day, and the Knight of Cups popped up.
I was told "Romeo in a Lizard Suit"

What? Eh? Huh?

Well, the Knight of Cups is suppose to be the ultimate romantic. Okay, that makes sense sort of.
It's the lizard suit part that is confusing me. (and for those who read my posts regularly know I get confused very very easy) So I took this situation to my best trained social circle. Here is what they came up with.

My Gay Guy Friend : someone you would not normally go for. Maybe even "the" one.

My Straight Married Female Friend/High Priestess : someone going through a life change them self. Changing their point of views on things like a reptile sheds their skin.

My Straight Male Cousin : A guy with a snake tattoo?

(Um, yeah, let me get back to you on that one hon. ) Okay honestly, they can all be hitting it right on the nose right? (I mean right?) Or all totally off kilter. Either way, I have been trying to understand how the Knight of Cups in a Tarot deck is connected to a reptile? The oddest part is that I was not even asking about relationships (seriously I wasn't for once)

My Thoughts on TNA Impact for April 2 2009

The whole Micky Foley going nuts is kinda dull.
Get done with the MainEventMafia already I am bored.
The Stevie Richards videos are funny.
Sting what are you thinking with that red and purple coat?

I found myself distracted with this week's show. (which I tend to be when there is no MotorCityMachine Guns!) There just seemed to be too much dragging on of things. Alot of the story lines have been in the process for months and I would like to see something fresh open up on the show. This week's show just seemed bogged down with the chore of setting things up for the big payperview in a few weeks time. I know we need to set the plot but I really hope there are a few new storylines on the way after the ppv.

Ask Ardeth

Time to dig into the fang mail for another batch of emails from beyond the grave.
Welcome to an overdue issue of "Ask Ardeth" Where anything that can be thought of to ask will be answered by my horror film Heavy Metal Goddess alter ego Ardeth Blood.

Dear Ardeth:

Why is it you never review WWE shows on your blog? I am a big fan of Jeff Hardy and want to know why you never talk about how much he rocks?
From Chair to the Headlock in Vancouver

Dear Chair to the Headlock:

I talk about TNA Impact because I like wrestling, not lameass- no- talent-melodrama that is on wwe shows. I also really think Jeff Hardy does not do anything worth talking about. Infact can't that dude just pick one hair colour and stick with it for like even a day?
So to answer your question, wwe is a badly written soap opera with guys who can not wrestle and only know how to smash each other with chairs.

Dear Ardeth:
Can I see your boobs? Are they real?
From Grabbyhands in Kitchener

Dear Grabbyhands:

No you may not see them and yes they are real.

That's all the time we have for this one, come back around and see what other gobs of wisdom Ardeth Blood will dish out and serve to her fiends.

Bigger Stronger Faster the documentary

I just finished watching this documentary.
For those who have not heard about this film, Bigger Stronger Faster follows three brothers, one of whom is a former wrestler, and their use of body building drugs.
It takes an honest look at the mixed messages that the media has given in regards to steroids, and calls out the major players in every sport.

I have to say I have mixed emotions about this documentary. I think it could have gotten even deeper then it did, and maybe have had a few more interviews. But I also feel that was it's issue. No one seemed to have alot of supporting evidence good or bad; and it played down the middle. There were times when it felt like it was excusing the use of steroids.
