What is it with men and video games?
Every guy I have every dated/been involved with has been a game junkie.
Every interview I have seen with celebrities, has turned to talk of video games. What's the appeal?
Dude, I'm smart enough to know that for a relationship to work you need to have more then just trust, you need to have two tvs and two computers. Mostly so the guy can have his video games.

Knitting Circles
Is this a trend on the rise or just a fad gimmick?
Is there a difference?
I don't knit. I have tried but just can't get the hang of it, and find it far from relaxing.
Yet, Ninja knits, Erin knits, Butterfly knits, mom knits. All the women in my family and social circle knit. A couple of their husbands knit too.
Then I read an article on yahoo Canada about men social knitting clubs. What's going on here? Is knitting becoming the new "it" thing for nights out?
That would be right up there with Bingo and Bowling on my list of things you will never get me to do. And I have tried Bingo and Bowling in high school 20 years ago. Yet again two things the people in my social circle swear by.
I need a new Urban Family

I must rant about Suicide....on TNA

I used a scene capture again for this post
Dear TNA:
You have to stop promoting the gimmick that is Suicide. I have been telling you for months that it is not a good idea. We understand that you created the gimmick to help tie in with the first video game you released, but that was nearly a year ago. The time is up on the tie in.
And why this character upsets not just myself but others, is because this is a family show. Children under the age of 15 watch Impact, what kind of a message are you giving them? There are people who have a low grasp on reality that watch the show week after week and believe the character. What kind of a message do you think they are getting from this character? There are teenagers who already feel the world is a cruel and evil place that are already on the edge of suicide who see this character. What kind of message do you think they are getting from him and his theme music ?
I am not a mom nor do I ever plan to be but that does not mean that I am not doing my best as a responsible Adult in my community. I have seen first hand what loosing someone to the act of suicide does to the remaining members of a family, what it does to a community. Promoting a character based on that idea is insulting and harmful to those who have lost someone to the act of suicide.
I love TNA, but this is one gimmick I wish was never created.

Rant Rant Rant: and a sidenote on TNA's ppv
Men! Blah! Can't live with them and it is illegal to shoot them.
Someone didn't read my post Facebook Won'ts before starting up an internet relationship with me. Dude not cool at all. There was Facebooking, there was Myspaceing, there were telephone calls, spent alot of time over the last few months getting to know this guy, and suddenly the lameass excuse was used to end things. I found out, he's been stringing a few of us around. And his new playmate, he trashed her and now she's everywhere he is. Really really starting to hate the whole dating thing. And I am mad at myself too for being so frealing stupid to have believed this guy.
Okay, so I did not see the pay-per-view this last weekend (but when do I ever get to) but I did get the one update that mattered. It was Destination -X with the Ulitmate -X match. I found out Suicide won the belt.
WHAT THE HELL? Why?
The belt looked so good on Alex Shelley, and if he had to loose it, why to a gimmick? If he really had to loose the belt couldn't he have lost it to say Chris Sabin or something honerable?
Incase you have not guessed, I think the Suicide gimmick sucks. The game is fabulous but come on, why are we still seeing this masked wrestler?

Middle of November
And mindless.
Okay, I got back from what is most likely my last trip for the next few years ; I was in Edmonton once again.
Spent way too much, as shopping is my biggest vice.
Got the rest of my tattoo done. And as soon as the peeling process is finished, I will post a photo of it.
Found a few new hobbies to keep me busy over the next few months, one being comics. I know, I know graphic novels. Just the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 8 and the Angel ones. As well, I now have a few more video games in the collection. And I am asking myself when did that happen?
Now if I can just figure out how to get the pictures from my cell phone into my computer I would be rocking.

TNA IMAPCT GAME
So I have a Playstation 2, and am just not a gamer. The game is great non-the less. But if I were a wrestler, I would never be X-Division champ. I have tried and tried over the last week to get that Ultimate X but...fall short every time.
As far as the "story" goes, I can't get out of the first level.
Again, I am not a gamer
But this commercial is cool!

which Twin Peaks character are you?
http://www.quizilla.com/quizzes/821550/Which Twin Peaks Character Are You?
You are Leland Palmer.
Your daughter's death broke your heart and shattered your mind. You can think of nothing but that night she left you...though oddly, flashing images tend to appear every time you try and recount the circumstances surrounding Laura's death. But it can't be true. It just can't. It just...who's Bob?!

My Surreal Life

No luck as of yet with a job in SL, or home for that matter. But, aren't I cute as a cartoon?

Second Life
I like having a character in this program.
I am one of those who actually uses it as an extention of myself. I would not/will not do anything with my online character that I wouldn't in real life.
So what has my character done so far? Not much, so far I have wandered around, buying clothes and hanging out in clubs. I have tried to get a job in SL, and a home. It's difficult when you don't have any cash. Second Life and your offline lives can suck in such similar ways without you even trying. And inorder to have cash in SL, you need to have it in the real world -with a credit card.
Let's see if I have better luck as a 3D animation then I do as a flesh and blood person.

What I learned from Sex and the City Part 4.8
When you are stuck in a mind rut, go shoe shopping. Yeap, I was having major writers block once again, so last night I watched some podcasts of Fashion TV, which then lead me to a song they played in one of the episodes, so I downloaded the song from iTunes, then a complete page seemed to write it'self just from the beat of the song. So to celebrate, today I spent the day in Second Life getting shoes for my character. Then danced at a disco in there. Sometimes the internet is good for you.

Morning
I signed up yesterday for the computer site Second Life.
You know the 3D world where you can have a business meeting, ski and all that crap. Well, I picked a bad day to do it. Yesterday 9-11. The game was hacked all day from what I could see. Just hope my laptop is okay.
Further more, I have to go with mom to her appointment today. Great, just what I need mom hanging around today. I still have too much to do before tomorrow night.
That's right, leaving for Edmonton on Friday morning. Should be cool.
Busing so I will see some of Canada I have never seen. Never been that far west.
Have my own doctor's appointment tomorrow too.
Well at lest the next two weeks will not be dull.
Just finished reading Tayna Huff's Blood Books Volume One. I think I found my new favourite author.
