Facebook Won'ts

  1. I won't add you on Facebook if I don't know you
  2. I won't hang out on Facebook with you if you are married
  3. I won't add you just because you are a friend of a friend of a friend
  4. I won't give you my cell phone number

I am not on there to become popular, I am on there to stay connected to my family/friends who live out of town.
If you see me flirting with a guy on there it is not random I already know him from somewhere else.
If you are a member of a wrestling company, a member of a publishing company/magazine, or movie promoter/producer then you need to let me know that is why you are trying to add me as a friend.

Round and Round

I thought the point of the internet was to get yourself out there and meet people you would never meet otherwise?
I have been around for a few years now on this thing, and I seem to be seeing the same 10 people everywhere I go. Nothing fresh, nothing new, nothing but stale crackers. I mean come on can we stop drinking the kool-aid already!
50 million topics on this planet to get people talking and hanging around and for whatever reason I am seeing the same people talking about the same old thing.
It's like that line from Buffy when Dru is looking up at the sky "I have been naming all the stars but it's confusing as I have given them all the same name".

New X-Division Champ

Okay so I missed the pay-per-view (as always) and had to wait for the iTunes Canada replay of last week's Impact (which was downloadable today) but guess what Alex Shelley finally got the X-Division belt!
I like the sound of that.

And Blood Stained Sheets

So I am reading Heroine Diaries the biography of Nikki Sixx, and I get to a chapter with a the date Sept 1987 and I ask myself what was I doing at that point in my life.
I was in 8th Grade, but only spent 3 weeks in school. One week into the school year I had fallen and broken my leg. I spent 8 of the 9 months that school year at home with a Tutor because of a broken leg. While the man who's book I am reading was living a fantastical life, I was laying in bed at home falling alseep to the Girls Girls Girls tape and reading Rock Star by Jackie Collins, wishing I could be more then I was.
I had returned to school to finish off the last two weeks in class. At that point I didn't believe I could ever be the person I had been at the beginning of that school year.
So here I am 22 years later, remembering things that where so far away because of a song lyric. Makes you wonder what really does become the soundtracks to your life.

2009-Dear Me

Satire: 1 the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, ridicule to expose and criticize people's bad points. 2 a play, novel using satire
(as described in the Canadian Oxford Dictionary of Current English)

Jane Austen is the master at satire. She managed to capture an entire culture in her novels with the use of it. Most people today have lost that fine art.
And why I say this is because the last post I did here, (Sparkle and Shine) I reprinted on another blog on another forum. I got a response to my little rant. Which would have been fine except the chick was lacking any real direction in her commenting. She just rambled with anger.

Here is a note my comment on the hair style of the "now" was meant to be taken as satire. I was not being an angry lynch mob towards the kids who are part of this movement/fashion statement. Maybe if more people got away from the mass media for a few hours and read something that was printed with covers that did not have glossy pages , they would be able to understand what I was getting at.

Sparkle and Shine

The photo is flipped by the way, I can't seem to get it the right way, but here is my tattoo. It is actually the left arm.

Now, on to other things.
The year 2008 will be over in like 48 hours or so, and it was an okay year, not fabulous but didn't totally suck either.

I find myself on a bunch of new websites talking to morons. Oh sorry, I mean 16 year old kids who think they know everything but can't even type a sentence without using numbers in place of letters. You know the kind I mean. I hate that. Yes I know I need to find someone my own age to play with, but given the state of the internet that is almost impossible. And forget the people where I live, they are nothing but drunk bar stars.

And the topic seems to still be about the Twilight book/movie. Everyone I have come across seems to be in love with Edward Cullen. 15 year old girls are swooning at the idea of this character. When I asked one girl in a book chat about why it was she was soooo in love with him her response was the parts in the book when he comes into Bella's room at night through her window.
I don't know about the rest of you adults out there, but if I were to wake up in the middle of the night and see some dude had broke into my window he better be covered in blood with a large knife in hand twitching cause the voices told him to be there.
Because that is not romance it's a restraining order.
Someone else was talking about the part where Edward is telling Bella that he doesnt want her hanging around other guys. Again, the possessiveness is not sexy it's scary.
And if this is what the young women are drooling over, then we have just prepared this next generation for abusive lovers.
Not that it seems to matter, as we just raised a generation of men who are gloomy brooding babies. What is with the hair? If I live to be 200 I will never understand this socalled Emo subculture.

Speaking of guys with unwashed hair, has anyone been following TNA Impact lately? Note to Chris Sabin it's called shampoo.
