Round and Round

I thought the point of the internet was to get yourself out there and meet people you would never meet otherwise?
I have been around for a few years now on this thing, and I seem to be seeing the same 10 people everywhere I go. Nothing fresh, nothing new, nothing but stale crackers. I mean come on can we stop drinking the kool-aid already!
50 million topics on this planet to get people talking and hanging around and for whatever reason I am seeing the same people talking about the same old thing.
It's like that line from Buffy when Dru is looking up at the sky "I have been naming all the stars but it's confusing as I have given them all the same name".
